Who do you have your money on for GC?

A lack of a lot of big names means that Evans, Wiggins or Sastre probably have the best chance at GC IMO

Evans, Wiggo #2 but some drug fiend will probably get it.

Wiggo's still riding into form, isn't he? He'll have a crack at the short TTs no doubt, but I expect he'll back off in the latter half of the race, like last year.

Bastard course this year.

Is he? I don't even know what he's been riding. It's hard to tell when he's mention in British press.. they'll big him up even if he's got no chance. Paying no attention to the actual racing is why I don't bet on cycling.

What's Cuenego's target this year? He seems to have some sort of form after finishing in the top ten in Amstel Gold and Fleche Wallone.

And most importantly, where is it being shown?

LMNH, amongst others.

I think Cunego has given up trying to win a three week tour again and decided to focus on winning stages and one day races. Evans has got to be the outright favourite, he is in stellar form right now. Vinokourov seems to be riding well also, but a three week tour might be a stretch too far for someone just coming back from a 2 year layoff, let alone this year's monstrous route. I hope Sastre does well, but he hasn't had the best start to the season.

The last week is killer. Michele Scarponi on the route, "Grappa, Zoncolan, Plan de Corones, Mortirolo…I don't think I want to talk about this Giro any more, let alone ride it! Cazzo, it's going to be a bloodbath!"

Cuddles over Wiggo is a good shout.

You could do the Zoncolan fixed. It'd be good training for your event in June.

Dunno.

Will be interesting later (as interesting as a TT can be, anyway), Wiggins follows Millar out of the blocks, the former starting off at 4:08pm. This is followed by Basso then Cuddles.

Millar, yes. But Bobridge and Meyer have been struggling for form as they transition from the track to the road. This is, I think, their first GT so they are just their to learn and build their road endurance.
