are people still playing? im up for a bit of polo, but think youre normally done by now?
Yep, we were just chilling at Lock 7 having some lunch. Some people are up for NE polo later.
Good fun this morning, sorry I had to leave early! Nice to see Fuscia (sp?) improve as the session went on :)
Some inspiration for the new ladies:
hi. im looking for a bike. does anybody know anybody who wants to sell his/hers?
i'm 1,66m tall, dont know..think the bike frame should be 40-49cm ( high of the frame), so 16 Zoll (inch)
Naomi, we're going to try and get the loaner back. Thats a pretty small frame.
sorry to rudely come in this....knowing Naomi , she is my height and i'd say she'll be OK with anything 48 to 50 (bb to tt) .... ?
will we play this sat ? thank you , tum
Absolutely, the NE Beginners sessions will happen every week, who's in this week?
NE so its newington garden right ?
Nah, London Fields: http://goo.gl/maps/0RbiM
There's a caged court in the middle, 9:30am start, woop!
I'm selling my built-up Pompino if any beginners are interested in a ready-to-roll polo solution... Would suit someone around the 5'10"-6' mark... £250...
Although, I may have to leave early again. Boooo.
^^^ Naomi didn't like the set up of easts loaner bike...
However I don't mind it, and I'm not going to be getting a polo bike any time soon, so am quite happy to look after if no-one else is.....
I'm definitely coming down on Saturday, last week was super fun and I can't wait. I've been having some problems with my bike though... Had my chain shortened by a link cos it kept derailing, but now it doesn't always engage. Io - do you think you could bring some tools just in case...?
Hi i was thinking to come down as a complete beginner. I have nothing but a bike - its just a normal bike but will do the job right?
Yeah, absolutely, that's fine to start out on, people usually let others use/try their bikes too.
Using an easy gear will enable you to improve much more quickly than riding a big gear, you'll also need a decent braking mechanism for the sole hand that will be steering the bike (right handed players ride the bike with their left hand, etc).
Yes, you can start off any bike! Is it geared?
Damn you JonoMarshall, you're just too quick!
cool i'll see you bright and early tomorrow
I have three definitely maybes from my friends Jack, Dimi and Steve (ex hockey player of radness) so hope they show up!
i'll come and say hello, as i'm flat hunting in the area..
if i'm feeling perky, i'll swing a mallet, pull faces also
