I got a random text message asking me whether I wanted to play records at this.
Whomever 'Ben' is, could do with calling me / texting again, cos I didn't recognise your number and it's not a number on the forum persons fone thread...

Apologies.. wasn't me, I think that 'Ben' was your housemate. He told me he was going to ask if you wanted to play.
I'll ask him for your phone number later this evening.
Cheers,
Ben

I think I need to check this out at some point this weekend. Might make a nice finish-up for the Cambridge ride once the participants make it back to london.

A friend who is involved in the music festival and Burning Man scene passed this on to me, I'm posting it here in case the idea appeals, please contact the people mentioned below not me if anyone is interested in getting involved.
I'm writing from the Pleasant Revolution Bicycle Music Festival Tour 2010.
We are instigating a series of Bicycle Music Festivals this coming summer/fall throughout Europe, and we're looking for righteous organizer partners in London to help pull it off on June 5. I know it is soon and we'll adjust our ambitions accordingly!
We'll work together with the local organizer to produce a powerful, grassroots music festival unlike any your town has likely seen. In a nutshell, here's how we do it:
We provide a human powered stage and sound system, a live-on-bike mobile performance setup, 5 great acts for the festival, our consultation and experience in organizing BMFs, help with a local press kit, and some promotional materials.
We'll look to the local team to do publicity, volunteer organizing, fund raising, scheduling, route-planning, permitting, and finding the other acts. (What's involved: How to organize a bicycle music festival)
Once we have a committed lead organizer, we will begin to help plan the festival(s). Our intention is to suggest a framework based on our experience putting these festivals on, and then leave most of the planning in the hands of our local contact(s) since most of the details depend almost entirely on local knowledge. Our two goals:
throw a wild, love-filled party of righteous biking and music
inspire and help your community to create cycling music events in the future without us!
Is that something you'd like to take on? Or do you have ideas for an organizer? Are you interested in helping in any other way?
Thanks so much for your time, Romy!
peace,
Kipchoge
