MoC wanted to use it as a datacentre and general secret place, I've told him we can get one, when we actually have a big enough place to live in.
This is up there with his 'buy an Aston Martin' instead of a new flat idea. -

Sigh....there doesn't seem to be a street address anywhere on the confirmation email or site for where the entrance to this tunnel is.
Anyone know where it is?
-

theres a bunch of radio nuts converted one into a long distance listening post, the problem is they are prone to flooding - they have to be pumped every so often (theres a bilge pump on the wall)

Thanks for the heads up clefty, used to live round the corner from it and always fancied a look at the tunnel. Got tickets for the 15.15 show on Sat.
The tunnel starts at Rotherhite tube station on Salter Road so I'm guessing that will be where the tour groups meet. Not entirely clear from the website tho.

Apologies if this is a repost but..
The Thames Tunnel is going to be open to the public for 2 days only (12-13th March) before it succumbs to the East London line.
This marvel of Victorian engineering was built by Brunel and is not usually open to the public.
Tickets are £5 and places are filling up, so book your tickets here
https://ticket.ltmuseum.co.uk/peo/show.asp
