I'm not sure getting that and then doing a home tag is quite on
-
• #9203
That would not qualify as next level, would it?

Old: Second hand bike establishment on Railton Road. Getting this one took me past my first ever tag (happy memories), just a couple of hundred metres away.

New:

Clue to follow.

Nice.
I was going to do a home tag, but with Imogen sitting on her shuttle bug trike. Cute factor ten...

Clue:
"Harold! Where did that hospital go?"
"They closed it down to keep you away from the nurses, you dirty old man!"
-
• #9208
Other clue:
I don't live today (possibly due to malpractice).

I've lost my tag-solving mojo...

So, I'm presuming there's a chain of links, that goes something like this:
Sam the bike 'rag and bone' man > famous father-and-son rag-and-bone team from off of the telly > ????? [the missing link: hospital? doctors? Albert? ] > drinking fountain at a former washhouse
where is this Interconnected Tag of Mystery...?
;-)

^ Scuse me while I kiss this guy.
Which is a way of saying that you have some of it right, but not all of it. And a way of saying something else...

Ha! I'll be passing this later, with my camera.

• #9212
Ah. Did you just know it or are you a good clue solver? For everybody else, my clues involved two separate references to the same famous person with a link to the tag.

There's a tracheotomy link in this, isn't there?

Old; the site of St Mary Abbots Hospital, Marloes Road.

New; a bit limp this tag, but I don't care. That's the kind of wild thing I am.

St. Mary Abbots Hospital, a lost hospital.
Back when the hospital was still in operation, it was used as a location in "Steptoe and Son Ride Again". It is also where Jimi Hendrix was taken after he collapsed in his hotel room; the surgeon declined to operate on him and he died ("I don't live today" is a track from the Jimi Hendrix Experience's debut album). "Scuse me while I kiss this guy" is a common mishearing of a famous Hendrix lyric.

The first clue had Steptoe and Son and a hospital that doesn't exist any more. No big mystery to that, and googleable. After that, I was planning to just keep on dropping in the Hendrix song titles. Hendrix and hospitals? Shouldn't be hard to google.

But the answer to your question is "yes".

'Scuse me while I kiss this guy' took me to Hendrix 'Scuse me while I kiss the sky'
'Malpractice' took me to accusations by Monika Dannemann (Hendrix's girlfriend at the time of his death) of malpractice on the part of surgeon John Bannister for not having performed a tracheotomy on Hendrix when he initially attended him after his collapse.
Didn't bring me any closer to St Mary Abbots :(Steptoe stuff was a bit lost on me.....
Next.

Yup, soz, was on the way.

What I learnt on this tag was that Hendrix may have been murdered by his manager, but it's speculation. (Covers arse)

Ha! I started to work through that same [400+] list of lost hospitals last night to find a connection to Steptoe, but gave up after Acton. I was also looking at Steptoe film locations but never made it to the sequel Ride Again... shucks, one for the tenacious it was. Good work 36!
