They are beautiful tyres, but they are racing tyres that wear quickly, due to the soft compound used, and aren't designed for commuting on London's shitty streets.

Btw, flowmont, did you get some? A change of plans means that the 700x25 Panaracer Paselas I have are surplus to requirements. If you're interested I'd do a deal. One has been fitted to a wheel but it's not been ridden, the other is brand new.

Veloflex Pave's in 22c are more comfy than all other 23c tyres - fact!
and they look and feel brill, but they ain't cheap. P*ncture protection isn't too bad, either.
The Secret London ride almost 2 years ago: 4 punctures on Veloflex Paves within 1 hour.

Did you have them pumped up nice and hard? They really need 120psi or so
I"ve commuted occasionally on them, done Richmond park regularly (including on the new special puncture surface!) and don't find them any worse than most lightweight tyres.....

Ive been looking for some 700 23 gum walls and stumbled across these schwalbe lugano in beige. They look really good for the price, anyone any views on these??
