  • Thank you for the love @rive_gauche @sacredhart @Jingle_Jangle !

  • I got given two bottles of Berry Bros. Finest Reserve Port the other day.
    It's bloody lovely.

  • Ah shit, I forgot we had a resident champagne man, just dropped a wedge on my wedding without engaging brain, bah :(

  • Next time...

  • Cancel order ;-)

You can still get half bottles from us for wedding treats.
Or magnums / jeroboams for the top table...

I can lend you a sword if you want to saber a couple of bottles.

  • #nolikeynolighty

Afraid the money's paid and booze set aside, we did at least choose a small producer. A sword may not be the best idea at my wedding, there'll be enough carnage without weapons.

  • I am proud to report that our grower Champagne has received two Decanter 2016 Awards.

Our Brut Classique Non-Vintage, 100% Pinot Meunier from 2008/2009/2010 harvests, low dosage, has received a Bronze Award:
87/100 Light, fresh elegance on the nose. The palate has a creamy foam and displays excellent structure, bolstered by rich Meunier fruit and good length on the finish.

Our Rosé Classique Non-Vintage, 100% Pinot Meunier, from 2009/2010/2011 harvests, low dosage, has received a Commended Award:
85/100 An appealing nose ripe red berries and roses. The palate is herbal and floral with notes of sour cherries.

Get in touch if you need to top up your Champagne stocks, free delivery across London (a case per zone).

  • Just thought I would bumpo this thread in case people wanted to order some Champagne.

The harvest is coming up - circa 23rd September and we will have an open day for those wishing to pay us a visit.

    Cheers

  • Where is the open day?

  • The open day will be at the cellars:

Open Day is on Sunday 25th September 2016

  • thanks for delivery Vince, will put on ice for the weekend :)

  • @Vince Hey Vince. I wanna buy a decent bottle of champagne as a gift. Is there something in the £50-75 range from Lasseaux & Fils which is gonna trump the usual offerings from the big boys?

  • @Calben All our range is really good - we just don't have the marketing power of larger Champagne houses so can't sell bottles for as much.

None of our 75cl reach the £50 mark. Our magnums and larger formats do.

For a present, I would recommend either our:

    • Vintage 2008 which is as good if not better than Krug/Mumm's equivalent at about 1/2 or 1/3 the price. 50% Chardonnay / 25% Pinot Noir / 25% Pinot Meunier
    • Blanc de Blancs Vintage 2010, 100% Chardonnay, which is on par with larger brands like Roederer / Ruinart, again better value and also comes in a very nice branded wooden case.

If you send me an email to vincent@lasseaux.com, I will send you a trade price list.

    Thanks for the interest!

    Vince

  • Email sent :)

  • imho lasseaux as good if not better than big name houses

comparable to good ruinart vintage or good billecart salmon vintage

    get a magnum!

  • what he said, absolutely amazing wine and @Vince is a top guy, hopefully you will get to see his new courier bike (I know I want to).

  • The new bike is a beast. It can take up to 120 bottles. Basically all you see on the photo attached, including a metre long, 15 litres Nebuchadnezzar!

It will be delivered with my next delivery so place your orders now so I can get the bike here ;-)

  • I'm looking to sell some wine. Some is in bond and some is in a residential cellar.

Any tips for where or how to sell?

None is in huge quantities. I sent a list to Berry Bros, but due to the quantities they couldn't help.

    Any thoughts welcome.

    Cheers.

  • Cheers.

    Have you used bidforwine?

  • No, but I know people who have.

  • I am running a Champagne tasting session at Vinarius on Roman Road, East London at the end of November.

I will presenting our full range so it is a good opportunity to learn more about Champagne and try our complete range, including the (nearly sold out forever) Vintage 2008 and Blanc de Blancs 2010.

Good date night too - I will also be giving Champagne sabering lessons.
