My new winter rat bike .
not mine, but kinda porn aswell.
Thunderbirds are go !
Love how it has a dropper post. As if 100-200mm drop is going to make it so much easier to mount and dismount!
Spotted just now on Ascot high street
Some amazing footage from Bike Kill NYC on New York Nico’s Instagram.
Watch his ‘stories’ too.
Haha, the tall bike jousting footage is so chaotic. What a fucking great/awful idea.
Every round that didn’t result in serious injury was just a ‘big fuck’ you to the laws of probability:-D
Recently picked up a Raleigh Super Course from the late 70s/early 80s for a song. I thought that it had strong rat bike/lock-up bike potential. In my haste/excitement, I did not notice the holes that some previous owner had installed on the frame. Perhaps a ill-advised attempt to stick a slipping seat post, and internally route the rear brake cable?
My question for the group: would you trash the frame and resell parts to make up the cost of purchase (about 30 quid), or send it on a hybrid woodwind/bicycle?
You know it's a great idea when the best possible outcome is only one person getting rammed off of a 6ft tall bike straight on to concrete.
My Bertin rat/lock up bike, made up of parts bin bits and bobs. The track ends were added at some point, also check out the huge gaps in the paint where the braze-ons used to be lol. Need straps and a front brake before I can take it out!
Spotted on the streets of Munich
Consider posting this in the Tall Bikes Thread (I would love seeing this being revived : )
Same goes for yours up there @elHuron 🙂
IKR, who in their right mind has the QR skewer on the DS ;)
Uncapped bar ends MATEEEEE! ;)
Nice functional rat there
Made a ratty “klunker” last night out of various parts I’ve accumulated from here over the last few months!
