Ahh Ben, I'm in love with that bike
Would the court up slough bottom park not be better?
Played tere a few time with Cargo Gareth and his crew. Not a bad spot...
The Wild West Beginners' Tournament 2013: Westway 2013/10/12
Westway Sports Centre - 1 Crowthorne Rd London W10 6RP
Beginners only! This means if you have played for around 1 year or less then you are in! We can obviously make exceptions for people who may have played a few months or so more but be sensible!
Register your teams/interest here and on-the-day-registration is fine as well.
Some people may not have teams but thats fine, just rock up on the day and we will be able to put you on a team
Loaner bikes and mallets available courtesy of www.bikeminded.org and The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea
depending on the number of teams but we hope to play 4 or 5 swiss rounds, followed by a double elimination bracket, meaning that you are guaranteed at least 6 or 7 games
for more info get in touch at email@example.com
I will be at the Marlpit Muga (floodlit Multi Use Games Area) on Hellesdon Road, next to the Marlpit Public House this Tuesday evening from 7pm. I'll have two spare Polo mallets and balls with me if anyone wants a knockabout.
Evening all, any bike polo going down in Norwich at the moment?
Not that I'm aware of! I think Stu F used to play quite regularly, but he moved back to Cambridge ages ago, and the structure sort of fell apart.
Shame... I've just arrived from Oxford, where the bike polo scene was very up and down.
I'm keen with a bunch of mallets, balls and a bike if there are others in town who fancy a game.
Might be interested in having a go.
Think Gareth used to play quite regularly as well so could be keen
I'd definitely like to have a go too - having never played before.
yeah also never even attempted polo. could be a laugh.
I am still keen on Bicycle Polo, and have spare mallet and balls, etc. if anyone is interested in having a knock about. Just call me on 07758786036 if you are interested
I would be up for a go! So would quite a few guys from the UEA cycle club, willl give you a call in January if that's alright?
That would be great....... I look forward to meeting you all.
Gareth, how many players are there currently?
Any UEA/NUCA/CC freshers or locals want to have a go at Polo? Nothing too serious just an informal knockabout 1 evening a week.
There's several suitable floodlit Multi Use Games Areas (MUGA's) across the city we can use.
I have spare mallets & balls
If you are interested give me a shout on o7758 786036 or message me http://www.facebook.com/groups/norwichalleycat
just started playing in london, and am regularly in norwich.. let me know when you play :-)
Hey there, are there any dormant polo players in Norwich? Just wondered if anyone still played.
I hope to move to Norwich in the near future so am up for trying to get things moving again polo wise. At the moment I snatch the odd game with the London guys when I’m up there for work.
So, move is halfway through so not in the immediate area yet but it’s still my intention to get playing at some of the courts round norwich, let me know if anyone is interested in playing. :)
With enough notice I should be able to dive into town to play at the moment too.
Ok so realise I’ve not had a huge hit rate on this but an update, nearly moved to the area and as soon as covid stuff allows I’ll be up for polo if anyone else is.
