  • **PRICE DROP****

After some backwards and forwards and firm advice from Gizmond (+seeing a couple of sets sell at the £70 mark), I now realise these wheels - great as they are - do not have a massive resale value.

I am really keen to get rid and cut my losses. With that in mind:

    FINAL PRICE £50 ono

I am based in Hackney for collection.

    Cheers,
    Kam

    Hi everyone,

I have a fantastic tubular wheelset for sale.

Campagnolo Omega Strada Hardox laced to Chorus Screw-on Hub. These are beautiful wheels which run incredibly smooth and are true. Both wheels have a small amount of brake marks, thankfully these run in a clean circle so the look and performance are not really affected. Otherwise in great shape.

The spokes are double butted and run 2 cross on the 36 hole hubs. Rear threads are perfect, there is a very slight bit of dulling around the hub body (tried to show this in the pix). The wheels come with the original Campy QR skewers.

I am gutted these are tubs, if they were clinchers there's no way i'd sell!!

£5 donation to the forum from the sale.

    PM if interested.

    Cheers,
    Kam

  • Morning price drop to £215

  • you're right - i have a pair of clincher omega's for an 8 spees freehub and i love em too....

  • Omegas are sweeeet

  • you interested MX? loyalty discounts are in play ;-)

  • Thankfully I have 2 other pairs - a 7 speed clincher (Lambda) on Record and an 8sp Omega V on chorus. Both are shiny silver though (I love the look of the black ones).

  • Price dropped again on these.

Someone grab a great set of wheels and save me the hassle of putting into storage.

    Will consider offers.

  • Right final reduction on these for now! £150

    Anyone?

  • Its bc they're tubs......everyone's scared of them. Even ebay rejects them.

    Maybe try some roady forums?

  • yeah but some people love tubs. Nonetheless you might be right!

As a general point, who on here rides tubs outside the track?

  • Only when racing and if you're racing tubs then you would probably be riding a newer factory built wheelset. You'll have the best luck on ebay in the spring.

  • Price dropped to £110. Really wanna see these go to a good home...

  • ual! that is a great drop of prices. from odd 200 to a 100? maybe you should hold these for some other time

  • stunning photos.....

  • Thanks! I am trying to get better at taking pix of my stuff.

Price drop because i will never use them and i want to reclaim some space in the living room.

Ultimately i'd be happy with some cash and a happy buyer. So you want them ;-) ?

    stunning photos.....

    ......

    . So you want them ;-) ?

    ok! dibs on the photos

what lens you used? prime?/l series?

  • £110, that's too cheap, stick them on ebay, you'll get £150-175

  • ...actually, probably not, they're track wheels with QR skewers...

  • They are not track pisty. Back is a screw on hub hence the difficulty shifting them.

Almost tempted to rebuild the rear with a track hub but rather just shift them.

  • they're track wheels with QR skewers

    ?

They're not track wheels with QR skewers.

They are road wheels for a screw on block.

  • Beautiful wheels, why not just sell the rims, buy some omega clinchers (not as easy as it sounds but...)
    Build them up again.

£110 is a good price, seems low i wouldn't feel satisfied letting such a nice pair of wheels go for that.

    Just sayin'

  • Don't mean to be rude, but they are an old pair of chorus road hubs, laced to tub rims. The kind of thing people often give away.

They really aren't that special and are not worth much at all.

  • Hi Gizmond,

I agree they are not worth my original estimation (I think as clinchers they might have been around 200).

When I got hold of them they were caked in dirt hence me thinking they were clinchers - my bad really. But after a good clean i think they are a very nice set of wheels and have seen little use.

So it comes down to this... does anybody want them? I could hold on to them and try ebay, but i didn't pay so much for them either - and i'd be happy with a forum user getting some joy off them.

With that in mind, I'll take any reasonable offers. If nobody wants them then i'd better learn how to glue on tubs!

    Hi Jordan,

I have 2 other sets of omega v's and a couple of other sets of good wheels. Don't really need another set!

  • Well, you are looking at between £25-£40 on eBay.
