Hi Evell,
I would be interested in giving the bike a good home. Is the bike still avaiable and has there been much interest.
Thanks

I bought the exact same bike as standard spec, 2008 model off ebay for £280 including purchase docs from evans...
That said i felt i got a bargain, and bike is actualy quite good, but still prefer a steel frame build....

TimYes it is still available - another guy was asking about it but hasn't seen it yet.

I didn't know anyone on here liked steel? What is this? The 1980s?
I love the anti-hipster stance of the Cannondale. Get some lycra and a bottle holder and you could be on a road bike. Or ride it on the pavement in a hoodie whilst making a phone call and smoking bensons and you could be a crack dealer. The possibilities are endless...

Evell,
I like the bike and would be interested in purchasing it from you, however I am a single speed virgin and am interested if the frame could be adapted to be used with a full gear set? Sorry for my naivety! however in the future this would be something I would be intested in doing? If anyone has any exmples or further information that would great.
Thanks for the input.

Hi Tim,
You'd have to factor in horizontal track dropouts and 120mm rear wheel spacing. I'm not sure how much of an issue this is, but suspect it would be a hassle to convert it to gears. Most people on here are busy converting bikes the other way around - from geared to single. Bear in mind the Capo has a freewheel so if you're nervous about the idea of a fixed gear then you don't need to be. It coasts. And then if you want to try fixed you can put a fixed cog on the other side of the wheel and flip it round.

Cannondale Capo 2008 56cm *Black*
This bike seems cursed to never be ridden! I bought it as an impulse buy on eBay from a guy who hadn't ridden it at all. My plan was to strip it back to the lovely Black CAAD 5 frame and rebuild it with better components. I've had no resources to commit to it so I'm going to pass it on to someone else or else it will lie around gathering dust for another year… As such, it is as new, with the small exception of a tiny scratch at the bottom of the frame (I grazed it up against a table moving it). Look closely beneath the Cannondale logo to see it.
It is unmodified, standard spec, and essentially unridden. Comes with all the original manuals / Evans paperwork etc.
If you haven't tried a Capo before, they are amazingly light and comfortable for a track style bike. And the frame is a stunner - the welds are super smooth. It comes up big for a 56 - I'm 5'10 and it is a real stretch for me. Hence the short stem in the pic. I'll put the original stem back if you prefer.
All stock components, no pedals, but I can throw in some shimano SPD pedals if required, and also have a few other things lying around if you need them (Miche fixed cog, straight bars etc).
They were £799 new, with the current straight bar version at £699. I paid £499 on eBay for it, so I'll let it go for:
£450
Buyers are welcome to come over and see it at my place in Old Kent Rd. As usual, no dibs, pm for more details etc.
