who has an office party on a tuesday? Stupid.

Ours is in February...

We're having a masked ball for employees only, no guests. It will be predictably horrific.

When I was 18 and working on an industrial estate in Somerset, the boss' wife came and sat on my lap as I was smoking a cigarette at the Christmas Party. The fag burned a hole in the bum of her new silk dress, but she was too pissed to notice until much later. Never owned up to that one.

We used to have them in Pacha, with free food and booze all night. That was pretty cool.

This year we're in a bar in the City and I'm in the band.

allegedly our one has a 'photo glitter booth', which sounds nice. if you like having sex with men.

We are going to a restaurant this year, then some nightclub in kensington. not bad, after last years crappy attempt. On a Friday, which has good/bad points.

I need a new job; the highlight of ours last year was one of the department directors getting so drunk he was sick down his jumper then tried to hug the company chairman - did not go well.

To clarify, said events occured during the course of the year, and were commented on during the xmas party speech. The party itself was pretty tame.

Being one who runs my own company, I shall be waiting for a nice quiet night, buying a bottle of nice scotch, and entertaining myself with a number of stories I already know, as told by me, in a room entirely free of other pissed up idiots, bores and twats.

And yet, seldom to people mention that when listing the advantages of not working for someone else.

I love a good Christmas party. Though thankfully they've always been pretty good, apart from the one department trip out to see Buddy. Sober. Sat next to my boss standing up and dancing. Can't recall why I couldn't get out of it.

This year I couldn't give a shit and intend to get twatted. It should be quite an impressive night I hope.

I've spent the past 2 - 3 months organising other people Christmas parties.

As there are only 2 of us in the company, and both of us are now sick of the idea of Christmas parties, I don't really foresee us having one.
