  • looks great. here’s mine:
    dreamroller2023
    currently set up 650b

  • That looks so rad! What fenders are they ?

  • that looks stunning!

  • Hive mind. I've just done a few trials with bigger tyres and mudguards and can see i could make this work however the front gets uncomfortably close to the downtube (53cm frame). It may end up SS one day but for now it's fixed and i'm a little concerned by the overlap. Am i over thinking this or would a 45mm rake give me another 7mm clearance without buggering the handling?

With all this in mind anyone got a picture of a Steamroller with a Pacer fork?

  • Surprise. It's a steamroller.

  • That's great

  • What fork is this?

  • End of an era

EDIT: Never mind! Someone from the Finnish fgss scene sent Surly a question about this and got an answer that they have no plans to end production of the Steamroller :)

  • Current setup, killing the streets

  • woow, no more steam rollers, I've never been totally happy with mine, no fender mounts, no second bottle cage bosses, not quite enough clearance.

But I've still ridden it(checks strava) 39,163 miles, and road home from Glasgow to Portsmouth on it.

I hope to get all these things fixed when it gets a respray this summer, perhaps next summer, but I've been saying that for years.

  • Has anyone got info on what width Velo Orange mudguards work best with a standard Steamroller frameset? I’ve got some SKS jobbies on there, which are fine, but they rattle a lot on rough terrain.
