Go here:

A great quirky place with anything u could possibly need. Or there's a place on brick lane that does offcuts/skins on a sunday, corner of cheshire str.

2 punning Olivers on the forum, I suspect this will end the same way as two Chuck Norris roundhouse kicks colliding. Forget about the LHC, this is the end of civilisation as we know it.

+loads.
This thread could be, like, normal every day words that you can put in google image search at work and get a sneaky look at some boobs or knobs or something. It could be epic.

Ha I'm no match for Schick. Unless I caught him nappa-ing, he'd patently tan me.

With Oli being a vegan I very much doubt it that he would enjoy a punning session about leather etc. So I think the nu-buck stops here.

if he wasn't, he's skin you alive

Think we're milking it a bit now, you all deserve a pat on the back though for your efforts.

Done a fair bit of leatherwork, made bags, pouches (not those kind) and a couple of knife sheaths. I have used http://www.leprevo.co.uk/ for my tools and leather, they only sell large full/half hides, pretty pricey. Sorry, don't have any offcuts apart from some 3mm thick stuff for belts, too thick for a wallet.
My gear's all for working on the thick stuff, if you want some practise bits and some needles and thread just say. It's cool to make stuff from scratch, I made shit loads of mistakes as I went along but that's a good way of learning.
Plenty of good tutorials in-line, would recommend the leathercraft forum on britishblades.com if you can stomach pictures of knives and talk of knife collecting.
Just pm if you want to know anything else.....
Sorry for disrupting the run of puns!

Urrrgggh, animal product-based punning. I'd obviously seriously compromise my veganism if I got into such puns. Oh, bullocks to that, a pun's a pun. Chamois on you all for leading me astray.

I'm in need of a new wallet / card holder and though I'd make my own one in leather. Had a google and looked on ebay and there is places to get leather online, but not sure about quality etc? Has anyone bought leather online and can recommend a shop, or perhaps a shop in london, that sells quality leather?
Does anyone do any leather work btw? I don't know anything about it but reckon it could quite a nice thing to do now when winter's here
