Possibly because she has her own brain, which happens to include her own mind in it, to make her own decisions. Simple really.
Sexist.
I owe you a firm and appreciative handshake.

You've probably learned the real lesson... don't ask LFGSS a question like this ;)
LFGSS has a thousand answers to every question, all of them are wrong.

+1
if no one tried to introduce people to new experiences that they love, the world would be a very dull place.
If she wanted to ride, she'll ask him for advice and stuff. Why does she needs to be pushed into it because her OH is into it?
Does this mean if your OH was into football and you weren't, should you be pushed into liking it too?

Ah, but how does she know whether she wants to ride or not if she hasn't been introduced to it?

no way, it's been a refreshing take on a very well-worn subject. getting loved ones into cycling that is, not lastcaress's girl.

Are you suggesting his girlfriend is blind, sir?

I taught my wife how to ride a bike about four or five years ago. She can now ride and has done some long distances (up to 40 miles) but will not ride on roads. She is also nervous of our daughters riding. I am dealing with this problem by taking cycle training myself, having my daughter cycle trained and then getting my wife to be cycle trained. I will then take her to Cycefit.
If she doesn't get into cycling after all of that it will have to be anal sex. -

I would be very wary about throwing anyone who does not ride regularly into traffic on a fixed bike with 1 brake.
no way man, just make it fixed straight up. its not fair to make someone miss out just because they haven't tried it before -
best advice i ever got in response to me saying "but i've never ridden to the city before" was "oh right, so yeah, that means you better never do it"
and i did it, and it was fine...
weeks later being rearguard to teenslain, i was hit by a car in quiet herne hill...

I'd probably find out if she'd like to, or whether she doesn't want to. If the latter, then don't push it. If the former, then just support her in however she'd like to approach it.
