  • and I meant 'would', not wold - doh!

  • It depends what bike you put there, all I can think of is, it's going to get scratched. And imagine someone else walking away with your bike due to a technical fault and yours is better than theirs! Or what if you couldn't get your bike out at all for hours :P

  • Theyve been aroumd for a couple of years I assume they'd have ironned out any bumps like that by now...

  • Still room for fault like we have with laptops, pcs anything to do with technology..

  • Two questions. 1. I'm like a Dog. I feel abandoned, my master has left me forever. 2. what happens when you're toe clips refuse to let go?

  • Only if the bike tree would grow some nice steel frames. That would be lovely. I could pay for it with my money tree.

  • You're right, if it runs on ms software I'm not using it, but other wise I would.

    Is 1 a question or a statement?

    He's just a worry wort.

And hey, Apple software also breaks, no?

  • No it is definitely a statement.

Careful lileth - you'll get the mac fanbois in a froth.

  • How many exits/entrances do the bike trees have? if only one or a few then there would be HUGE queues of people waiting to retrieve their bikes

  • i'm all for robot-based cycle parking.

A small price to pay for securing your bike and know that it won't have been stolen/stripped when you get back.

  • No-one has said the obvious... only if it's located near where you would want to lock your bike.

  • Only if it's located near where I would want to lock my bike.

  • Haha Hippy! I dont think the goverment/councils would want to plant quite a few bike trees in London...

  • i really enjoyed using the amsterdam underground garages when we rolled through there. and they're free! however, they lose points for not being robotic.

  • I'd use it but complain that "this is not my bike" and tell them it was an £8000 beast from Cannondale

You affix an RFID chip to your bike... they can pair them up.

I know but you can dream can't you. Joking apart seems like a very good idea. They should put some of these in all the train stations where apparently there is zero parking

  • As other have said if it was near where I wanted to lock for extended periods e.g near a place of work that dose not allow bike to be taken inside. Less than 500m max preferably less than 250 m.

  • Only if it's located near where hippy wouldn't want to lock his bike.

  • Only if my bike can be parked next to Oliver's

  • Only if occasionally I can use it as a hostel for the night.
