Gotcha: http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/04/14/verizon-htc-incredible-live-april-29-release/
Desire specs are pretty similar anyway: http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/04/14/verizon-htc-incredible-uk-owners-happy-with-htc-desire/

One thing which I can't find a fix for on my HTC Desire is if I lose a signal for a while I don't have any signal untill I turn the phone off and turn it on again, do you guys know if there is any fix for this?
-
• #860
I'm with T-mobile but the signal isn't an issue for me.
It just seems sometimes where I don't have signal then when I go back into an area where I know I get signal my phone doesn't find it and I have to turn it off/on again.

I get that once ever 3 months with O2 using a Sony but never had that with the Samsung.

Just saw I get to upgrade the beginning of next month. Sweet! Bye-bye G1, hello... ? Desire? I like keypads... Advice?
-
• #863
I went for the Desire from a previous G1 owner, the transition was easy. The Desire touch screen keyboard really is amazing. Try one out in a shop if you can you will love it.

Dibs on the G1 for Lori... Unless Adrienne is getting it... BTW Leave all your passwords on it...

I'm tempted to switch from t-mobile as well (after they fucked me with my insurance claim). Whose got the sweet deals? I wants phone + interwebs + couple hundred texts + couple hundreds minutes for around 20 quid. 18 month contract or so.

Possibly. Adrienne has first dibs, but her contract should be coming up soon as well.

Vodacunt haven't responded to my email so I'm not buying it from them. Might just get the Desire from O2. Fuck you, Google.

Just get an obliging American to buy it and post it over

Veloid gives locations, no of bikes and spaces available for Dublin Bikes and loads of other bike rental schemes. Works really well.

My company is buying it though so it has to look somewhat legit.. I think? Actually.. I'm not even sure what it has to look like. If I buy it I'll just expense the fucker.
Desire suddenly appears more desirable..

Are any of you lot using screen protectors for your phones? Which? Do they hamper the touch screen usability at all?
-
• #872
I've always used one of those film covers (for my last three touch screens, two G1s and an HTC tytn). Never noticed an effect on usability.

@ hippy
Haven't used one yet, but am tempted. Didn't use my Desire for a week after I'd bought it, as I was waiting for a fitted leather(ette) case. With a screen so sensitive, I was worried about it getting damaged. The case I've got is sort of shit, but it is "fitted", so it actively grips the whole Desire and the front flap is hard-reinforced, so all-round, is good protection. The design is shit, because the plastic inner casing is crumbling. The plastic lacks elasticity, so breaks at the corners each time the phone is taken in and out of the case.
Which screen protector were you thinking of using? The Martin Fields version looks good, but expensive.

Ah, else use one made by Belk (Rupert/Snoops and Hassn's bag company) which have some sort of plastic cover and folded out. Touching still worked, but was less sensitive.
