i would come down the road that is west end lane, abbey road, north end grove (or whatever it's called), lisson grove, over euston road following the same road, round the back of marble arch and down park lane. hpc then grosvenor road then round the back of victoria and over vauxhall bridge, round past oval and straight shot to camberwell.
i know this doesn't avoid what you consider the nightmare of HPC but i just don't see it that way. good luck dude

Hey, I experimented a little and decided to take half that route then head through hyde park and along the mall, much more pleasant.

I've just moved from w12 to West Hampstead and I'm having a dilemma with my commute to work.
Does anyone know a good way i can avoid the nightmare of the edgware road and hyde park corner without too much, extra distance.
