oh yeh, closely fought games they were, pics to follow (and scores but that's not my job).

hassan scored 10,000 goals, roxy got drunk, matt had cricket courage, dan's bike got excited, yorgo ate pistachios, brian was shit in goal.

Result: 1 - 5, 2 - 4, 0 - 3

Report: A lovely night of polo. Will and Mike hopefully have some pics.

Game 1.

The first game took just over 7 minutes with a goal about every minute and a half, two from Hassan, two from Brian and one from Yorgo. Black Rebel had a few breaks but weren’t able to get clear shooting opportunities. ZU played a good, fast passing game (Hassan is my MVP of the evening, for all round passing and shooting skills) and won this comfortably. Yorgo left a trail of pistachios beside the court in a pre-match warm up snack.

Game 2.

BRBPC - ZU
0 – 1 (Hassan, 1:30)
0 – 2 (Hassan, 2:30)
0 – 3 (Hassan, 3:10)
0 – 4 (Hassan, 10:10)
1 – 4 (Dan, 13:10)
2 – 4 (Dan, 14:00)

The second game started much as the first, with Hassan putting away 3 goals quickly and cleanly. Then BRBPC finally warm up and find a way to block out the attacks. Before long Zombies are frustrated, playing with 3 players up front, Black Rebel are able to take advantage of a couple of good breaks to pull back two goals and hold Zombie off til full time.

Game 3.

BRBPC – ZU
0 – 1 (Hassan, 1:50)
0 – 2 (Hassan, 11:30)
0 – 3 (Hassan, 12:00)

Zombie tighten up again on the third game, but so do Black Rebel, blocking out lots of shots for a long period, with Matt showing the physical side of his game and Yorgo hitting his own front disk more often than the ball. Hassan is in front of goal again to score three, enough to sink Black Rebel.

nice report iain, loving the goal times. good work hassan, prolific stuff. and good on BRPPCRCCPRC for making a couple of fight of it later on

Ha, Matt, you lunatic. Was everyone so trashed? The game at the end of the night didn't really count as a replacement third game. Pity though, eh? 4 - 5, not bad.
