A owl in the house would be a dream come true for me. My parents had barn owls in their house when they first bought it and spent ages getting rid of them, I was annoyed when I found out I could have grown up with a family of a owls but for my parents selfishness and anti-owl sentiment.
I went to a falconry centre at the weekend and got to fly a selection of birds including a European Eagle Owl and a Barn Owl. It was a magical experience!
