Looks super cool. What venue was that?

Oslo in Hackney, just next to Hackney downs station. Sound was pretty good.

Also in that sale, can’t believe they’ve still got some of those gold foil Telecasters knocking around, I think they look so cool.

I'm looking at s/h P Basses with Pau Ferro or Maple fingerboards from 2015-2018 second hand at £600 ish. WTF?! 🤣
It's crazy to think that the old Mexican stuff which was dirt cheap 10-15 years ago is now elevated to 'Player' status, which in all probability is just the new 'Standard'
Anyone have any experience of the Fender Player II series? Specifically looking at P Bass. New at £749.
('Standard' now being Squier Classic Vibe in all but name 😬)

From what I've heard, it's closer to Affinity than Classic Vibe.

Good point yeah!

I'm still struggling in the hunt for a P-bass. Agree that Mex prices are bonkers.

There's a late 90s Korean (Cort Factory) Squier for sale on facebay for £310. I keep passing over it in my hunt for the right affordable MIJ, but the more I look the better the "Cor-Tec" Squier seems. https://www.facebook.com/share/1Dw52okESE/

Have you considered/tried direct-from-Japan sites such as Ishibashi, Digimart or ZenMarket?

Squier or the Sire P basses might be a shout. I just can't seem to get over the itch for a Fender 😬🙄

What’s a decent budget guitar for a fat fingered bassist nowadays? Want something fun to play that’s decent without spending over £400 if that’s even possible. Dream would be a telecaster but £££ over my limited budget

Never mind, I misread your post!

Had it in the cart all day but resisted temptation. Don’t need it, can’t justify it at the moment :)

His must be the vintage mod version as had the dual pickup and black headstock.
Was cool to see someone I know to be an excellent guitarist playing bass- was all over the neck strumming, playing lead parts and generally putting in a solid shift.
