  • Might have to blag trade somehow though lol.

  • Yeah I had a chat with Dale, and I think we have similar tastes :)

  • Yeah i was thinking of getting a small selection to bring along, so people can try out some smokes they wouldnt usually try, as the biggest problem with cigars is forking out for a new smoke that you may end up not liking. I am sure if there were 10 of us, and we all chipped in 10-15 i could get a pretty decent selection from CU

I'd be up for that, I mean even if we didn't end up buying our stuff through you eventually (like bought a mix from you and dale), at least it would help us figure out what we like/don't like?

  • So, V V, are you around next week?

James, what do you think about next Thurs down the Doves?

If you guys are game, and V V doesn't mind attempting to sort out a small selection, then we can organise something properly...

  • ...maybe PM the others on the list as well, just to make sure that enough people are in for the cigar selection to be worth while....

  • I cant do next Thursday unfortunately - but dont let that stop you as i am sure we can do it again if the venue is a hit - happy to try sought out a selection though

  • By dale do you mean Dogs?

  • Nope, D.Generate.

  • Nah I mean D.Generate on here, American Dale.

  • Oh yeah and Thursday is good for me next week, maybe we could sort out Selection off of VV with some kinda notes on what is what etc, for next week, and hopefully you can join us for the next one mate?

  • I think I can do next Thursday, but I'll have to get back to you.
I've contacted a vendor and am waiting to hear back about some stock. I was thinking I would put together a list of boxes of different sizes and marcas. If there's enough interest we'll order them.

Anyone have any particular preferences to get the ball rolling? I'm pretty easy as I have a variety but I have realised that I might be a bit overstocked on the smaller petit corona sizes.

  • VV - I have heard good things of that shop. I'd be interested in picking up a few especially cigars we could find from years gone by as well as the UK regional edition.

  • You know my preference Dale - Partagas baby!
Any of the below will do:

  • likewise Dale, I think we share similar tastes, therefore anything you like, I probably will also.

  • I don't care - surprise me (in a Peter O'Toole's voice)!
Where/when can I deposit the cash?

  • As soon as I hear back from the vendor I will put up some choices to start. I won't order them until after at least next week when I get paid. We'll sort out the order and payments when I have more of an idea of what we're getting.

Dudes.....Such an excellent thread, with truly pleasurable and relaxing results:)
just a nod to say I'm still in!
And you have my full permission to buy whatever the hell you feel suits us best;)

  • I prefer something subtle like Punch or H Upmann coronas rather than a 'port & stilton' kind of full-on cigar like a Cohiba Robusto. Other than that it's entirely up to you.

  • I can't believe people on here know so much about shit like this! The breadth of knowledge is mind-blowing. Well done! BTW I once had a cigar and it made me do a sick on the dancefloor.

  • Probably spiked :-)
Good, big cigars are actually quite mild.

  • I was beside myself with drunkenness as well, hence the purchase.

No doubt you fully inhaled, as my dear friend Festus did the other week, the look on his face was priceless!
