ahem.... you can use Cateye plasimodo screw clips with rubber inners to hold mudguards on the frame very effectively- forks and rear stays, that's how they fit on my winter Giant and Trek with no bother at all

ah good- I'm not entirely mad after all !!!!

Race blades are AN answer, but not te best one- the rear guard is ok if riding on own, but in a bunch on a cube run they're just not long enough, the front one fouls the pedals on a small Giant TCR of the g/f of the time- talk about ear ache !!!

If you've got clearance under the fork crown and seat stay bridge for full length mudguards then sorting the mounts is the easy part - Pclips are your friend as Ed posted above. Race Blades are a very poor second.
Actually, Crud have recently released their Roadrace mudguards, which are designed for tight clearance race frames and are far superior to Race Blades, primarily because they provide much better coverage. Available here: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=42448

yo clefty i'll take these off you if you still want to sell?

Scoble has first refusal - however I think I might try the p-clip option first as the current ones are a pretty good fit - and I know that the raceblades arent going to be as good - having had them before..

Just an update to this, got some of the crud road racers in the end, bit fiddly to fit - but they fit really well - havent tested them in the rain yet though :-)

wildo, they are very low profile - if they work I might even get another set for the fixed for winter
I'll take a pic tonight. -

These are for sale again, I'm missing a small nut on one of the stays but thats totally fixable in my opinion. Will throw in two sets of p-clips for those without bosses.

A while ago I purchased these to fit on the Rourke for winter, just got round to fitting them and have realised that the Rourke doesnt have any mudguard bosses - Epic Fail on my part.
They are a couple of months old, never been fitted - all packaging unopened - apart from the main cardboard box. They are 35mm wide so suitable for 25c tyres, 28mm long and silver.
I'm looking for £20 - collected from South Beers, Colliers Wood or Tower Bridge area
Sorry no postage.
goes off to buy raceblades
They look like this

Cheers
