you'll probably need to remove the freewheel to lace the wheel
-
• #878
If it really has never been laced, then the freewheel will be loose (placed there to package more easily)?
-

you'll surely need to remove the freewheel to lace the wheel

Seems to be some cheap bash guards here
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Categories.aspx?CategoryID=143Is not not possible to get them for 38t 130 bcd?
-
• #881
130mm BCD = road standard = not much call for bashguards
-
• #882
Yeah fair point.
If anyone has any square taper cranksets below 130 bcd, I'm in the market. Trying to get near 40gi's with my 22t sprocket.
Ta like. -
• #883
So somehing around 34t?..
-
• #884
Yerp. I'm flexble on my gi's but need to go lower than my 46gi current set up.

Heya, I got something similar to this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PURPLE-BIKE-CRANK-ARM-SET-165MM-110-BCD-OR8-NEW-/290409547965?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Cycling_Parts_Accessories&hash=item439dc208bd
but not in purple. Purple, blech! Came really quickly in the post, think it worked out at about 36 quid or so after p+p. I got a 34t chainring somewhere else off eBay for a fiver. Tomorrow will be my first tryout with it. -

Adrienne bought the same cranks (in 155). Came super quick from the states. Shockingly quick (less than a week).

Cheers both, they look solid. It's a bit over budget but we'll see.

I played with it last night for the first time.
Super spinny! Bit mental, but good fun, found myself able to keep up a bit more than usual. Just give yourself loads of time to get back and forth from the court! Even with my flip flop on the smaller sprocket (15/22t) I was still going quite slowly. The trek back to Camberwell from Downham later on should be interesting...But yeah, recommended.

Sweet, thanks Kev. Would still like to spend around £20 on a non purple set. Also looking for a 15t or lower sprocket for less spiny getting homeness.

file the axle
-
• #895
file the axle
by 4 mm! not worth it
-
• #896
2mm on each side, 1 off which is the thread - it isn't as bad as it seems
-
• #897
if a polo playr wants any of these, they'll get a better price.

48h hubs
Just need to space the rear out a little. There's room for that with that axle...There's also a pair of 48h bmx wheels than can be used for the hubs up on eBay.
Don't say I don't look after y'all... ;)
