  • I never saw what was so special about Shimano stuff anyway, alright some of the road stuff has its admirers but for track it doesn't come much better than Campagnolo's Dura Ace range.

  • It is a RUMOUR. Most rumours are untrue. All other online sources are quoting the same article so there is no independent verification. Guaranteed to get pretty much ALL cyclists to get their shorts in a twist.

Elvis was brilliant until he joined the army, remember.

Campag was brilliant till Shimano took them over.

And Michael Jackson is hanging out with Jim Morrision AND Elvis in Mexico.

And Lynyrd Skynyrd actually got better after they died in that plane crash in 1977.

Bollocks. Campag Superbe Record Pro is lighter and rarer

  • Sorry to upset you guys, but the rumours are true!
Our very own Bendix has been testing the prototype Shimpagnolo groupset for a while on her road bike.
    ;)

  • that looks more like the new Campano range to me Scott…

  • No...that couldn't stand up to the torque she produced whilst riding.

  • I can't decide if the blue Quinn is going to have a Miche-Archer groupset or a Sturmagnolo one.

  • it works BEAUTIFULLY I'll have you know

"you must spread some rep.. yada yada.. "

  • ShimSanoCampRAMagnolo

  • also that bike might be for sale if anyone wants to own that very prototype for themselves.

  • worth it just for the bartape wrap job! ;)

  • From Cycling Weekly's twitter
"Rumours have been flying about that Campag has been sold a to company in the far east. We've just had confirmation that it's not true."

  • I love that.. "CONFIRMATION!!..... that it's not true..."

  • never stir another mans porridge.

Don't knock it 'til you've tried it ;)

    Oh dear

  • Well done with the tabloid titling VV..

"A Shimano Europe spokesman said that he heard that rumours too, but that he could definitely deny any involvement of the Japan based component maker."

As if Shimano would use any of that Italian shit in their product range.. :)

Actually, there's been a very definite rumour that Vittoria tyres has been sold to Continental. It doesn't look as if the Vittoria brand will survive. It'll be either Continoria or Vittental, but all the tyres will be exactly like the old Continental models.

  • So they will puncture a lot and snap valves?

  • Only if the rider is fat.
