  • I was riding today and saw some glass. So stopped to check my tyres, only to notice they are full of little holes, both front and back, but no glass. I have never had a puncture on either.
Im using conti ultra gatorskins, they are about six months old and had done c.30 miles a week. is this a commom problem with these tyres?
Can anyone recommend a better fairly lightweight picture resistant tyre? I know its a lot to ask!

  • Vampire tyres... Cant take their picture.

  • Shittest post ever.

  • That is caused by riding a bike in london.

It shows that the tires puncture protection system is working.

If you've never had a puncture, what is the problem?

  • On a similar note, what bike should I buy?

  • just pour superglue in the holes and rub it a bit.

one with two wheels would be your best bet, especially if it go round and round like a record.

    My jump bike?

  • just pour superglue in the holes and rub it a bit.

    Quote of the day.

He wants tyre advice not foreplay tips.

  • also, the tyres aren't as hard as they were when I bought the bike three months ago. Do I need new valves?

    Bahahah :D

  • I don't get the 'problem'?

Rode over glass, no puncture, after 6 months but there's a few holes....?!

    I'm lost...

I agree with Balki though, shittest, most irrelevant post ever

  • Most puncture proof tyres rely on a really strong puncture proof layer within the tyre. The rubber tread is not nearly as strong as it has to be soft enough to grip the road. So youll notice loads of little cuts in your tyres even if you never have a pucture.

  • +1 dfp

  • No offence dfp but isn't that stating the obvious? Or are you just highlighting the fact for JamesRotates?

For the record I was referring to my own post which, to be fair, was utter shit.

  • I'm actually quite serious, just pour superglue on the hole, rub it a bit and problem solved, the rubber melted a little with the superglue and helped prevent the hole from eroding further.
