Can anyone cut my bmx spindle down?

Has anyone got access to a lathe or some sort of serious cutting device? I want to cut 5mm off each end of my 19mm spindle without wrecking the splines and threads.

should only take me 3months to cut through 19mm of hardened Crmo then Ill get it back to you asap.

Gotta be a small engineering firm about that can do it for you, PM me if you have issues finding someone, as I know a bunch of guys who are into old brit bikes who own lathes, may cost you some P&P and a few beer tokens

a hacksaw will do the job. No idea why you need a lathe.
