"We're not pretending these are bikes with snob value. If you turned up at an LFGSS [London Fixed-gear and Single-speed, the sometimes ferociously snooty online forum for such bikes] meeting on one of them you'd probably be turned away. But they're simple, well made, and ideal for urban riding."

For even more articulate reasons - "well made" and "£270 RRP" are probably mutually exclusive.

Did I miss that memo. -

Have you not checked Outlook for the invites? Are you on the right distribution list? Maybe you should raise a ticket with IT just to be sure.

I also have the ex-courier's instinctive mistrust of "fakengers", with their suspiciously pristine track frames, Sidi shoes and Chrome messenger bags, along with well-paid office jobs and no real insight into a notoriously exploitative and often poorly paid industry.
Fakengers? I remember when we were all just called cyclists....
That's a fairly disappointing article.

Reading 'Squelch's comments on the blog post, I've come to the conclusion that he has no legs. Anyone who needs gears to get up Stamford Hill should probably get a mobility scooter.
