I've got a fake Yves St Lauren shirt. It's quite nice actually.
I used to have a genuine set of YSL workman's overalls. To be fair, YSL stood for Yarrow Shipyards Ltd, but they were genuinely from Yarrow Shipyards.

Is this still being discussed?
@OP - Crate bikes are as reliable as Max Crowe. Guaranteed to do exactly the opposite of what you expect. Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed.

So if i expect them to break, they won't? awesome! invincibility through pessimism.

I was thinking more along the lines of "get you somewhere safely with minimal fuss" or just simply "break."

You don't need to buy off the peg Albz. Especially not the shite that's been mentioned. Get a racer
or whatever on ebay or classifieds here for £100-200 and take it to a good recommended bike shop (search them here) and ask them to make it a single speed using good components.Well that's what i did.
This, or build it yourself if you're confident you know what you're doing. There was a shop doing fixed gear conversion sets, I'm sure someone will be able to point you in the right direction.

Just looked at the foffa. Not really any difference on the frames they build up compared to the create. Only named components pumping the price up. Looking good though.
It really is difficult to tell in the written word when someone is yanking your dangly.
Foffa frames are the best part of the bikes (old ones anyways, haven't seen the new). Mine has stood up to a lot of polo abuse. Having said that, Crumbs Create has too.
Maybe they're both really great after all?
