    nah, won't work, i got the frame with some stronglight cranks which is literally touching the bb on the driveside, basically there is very little room to wedge any other tools in other than maybe a screwdriver or the above ball joint separator

  • Please forgive me if this is a really dumb question,but:
    The crank threads are only there for fitting a crank extractor or dust caps; how do you strip them?

  • By not putting the extractor in far enough, by putting the extractor in crooked, by using the wrong type of extractor and continuing to force it against the crank arm eventually destroying the weaker threads..

  • it appears the previous owner did all of the above.
