I sometimes think I might invest in the next size up, in case I one day make a friend, or more realistically just need a bit more space - the one-person got a bit cramped on a week long tour a while back. I gather they’ve changed the ends somehow so you can lift the fly a bit for ventilation.
I have the 2 person one which in reality is just a slightly roomier 1 person tent, I definitely wouldn't want to share it! It's perfect for 1 and I've done 2 weeks in it no trouble.
They're on offer at Cotswold (50% off) at the moment: https://www.cotswoldoutdoor.com/p/terra-nova-laser-competition-2-tent-D1312435.html
Think I got mine for around £150 from somewhere random like Sports Direct and a pricing error
Oh thats interesting, does anyone do a pole thatsa just a pole i.e. not all the extra hand grip etc
Custom sizes available, DAC or Carbon, good prices, UK stuff

Hyperlite Mountain Gear 2 person superlight tent for £330 brand new, would normally be £700 plus
https://www.alpkit.com/products/soloist any chat about the new alpkit 1 man tent or their new bivvy bag? Values for money Vs decathlon/Ali express? Don't really know anything about outdoors gear I'm just on the alpkit mailing list (aka I'm the perfect alpkit customer)
No reason not to buy something from Ali Express instead of that
Oh yeah looks like exact same thing. Guess if you're desperate for customer service or rapid postage you could do the alpkit but otherwise..
Although the alpkit is a little bit lighter
and more importantly packs down small enough to fit between drop handlebars.
Currently lying in a cloud up 2 having spent the last few nights in it. Can't fault it.
Re. Pack size chuck the poles and the stakes in your framebag and your laughing.
I pack tent. Groundsheet. Mat and sleeping bag in my saddlebag.
alpkit are ripoff merchants, take yr money elsewhere
I'm looking for a lightweight 2/3 man tent that can pitch the outer on its own.
I like my Wild Country Helm 2 for this - not the fanciest but outer pitch first and light enough
Do you know how much the outer weighs on it's own?
Not sure but I can weigh it when I get a chance - leave it with me!
At your leisure, sir.
It will be greatly received.
