dunno if you can get any closer than pre-1960-whatever. '67? '63? it's on sheldon brown's site.

The BCD would suggest pre 1967, but I suppose I may not get any closer than that.

there is a way of dating them with the part number... i think.
campy oldy, or whatever the site is called has the details on that. -

toby, sure there's nothing inscribed after PISTA, under the chainring?
1967 was a guess btw.

ignore that, I was thinking of a different crankset that was on ebay with a 54T ring.
but yeah there is supposed to be a number inscribed and that relates to the year.

Possibly not on older ones (151 bcd), eyebrows?

Sheldon quotes 1967 on his site Skully, good guess!
There definatly isn't anything stamped after the 165 PISTA
Exactally the same as the ones on this thread: http://www.londonfgss.com/thread16808.html

I'll stop by the canal on my way home, a picnic is in order. I'm worried about the age gap.

Very pretty cranks, you should be proud your dating them.:D

151 bcd on the pista cranks continued for a while after the road cranks had moved to 144. I think they were finally phased out about '74. Not sure if you can date them to a year as there are no distinguishing marks on them.

I'm trying to work out the date of these cranks,
Campag 165mm Pista, 151mm BCD
Bit dirty, and a few scuffs.

Thanks in advance.
