Chips in Paintwork

Hey guys, is there anyway of touching up a frame myself WITHOUT having to just repaint the hole thing, the frame i have just bought has some pretty bad chips in the paintwork on the chainstay and seat tube, could i put a clear coat on it just to prevent it from rusting and keep it as a beater?

Hey,
you could try getting some filler put that on sand it down to the same depth as the paint and then using some primer and then painting it with automotive paint
