    Sold - thanks Wicksie.

  • From ESPI 7.

  • Ouch, what happened?

  • Anyone got an old or new pair of gloves kicking around. Just normal ones, they don't have to be the beefy ones. Could do with them for this weekend, bit of a long shot I know.

Also I'll be bringing down some helmets and pads for sale at Brighton.

  • Oh sweet, knee pads? I really need new ones.

I've got some hockey gloves for you from Joe. Don't know how you'll get on with them, I found they took some getting used to, so I gave up.

You should get some Dakine Defenders.

  • Who has a pair of Dakine Defenders and what size? Would be nice to see the fit. I really need gloves but don't like the bulk you get with hockey/lacrosse gloves.

  • Maybe look at womens specific lacrosse gloves as they're definitely not as bulky but have the padding.

  • Maybe look at womens specific lacrosse gloves as they're definitely not as bulky but have the padding.

Anyone have any specific experience of women's lacrosse gloves - like what is the sizing and protection like?

Also, what kind of shin pads have people tried that would be compatible with existing knee pads (i.e. don't come up too high). I really like the side padding on my knee pads (661 Kyle Straits) and find that the shin/knee combos don't have this.

  • I need gloves too. Getting that nasty painful fold of skin on my palm, where the mallet has gnawed through the glove.

What do you guys reckon between these two? Any experience? Or should I just get the Dakine Defenders?

    I do. I think they're small.
Problem is, will I ever see you again?

  • Will you be at the ladies polo on Tuesday? I don't even know where it's happening anymore. We can no has consensus.

  • I'm selling my Bauer 2100 black, with cage(has some cutouts) size M.
    In pretty good condition.
Has a couple of stickers and a few surface scratches.
£40 or a good offer, can bring to UK champs in Birmingham this weekend(sunday).

  • Even cooler than the visors with heads up displays at UK champs.

  • can you imagine how bad that would stick to your face on a summers day of polo

  • He lives in Manchester so he probably can't imagine.

  • Zing!

  • Imagining's all we got.

  • I've chewed up another pair of the Rock Garden Fate gloves, they stink like shit and my finger tips are cracking on them, the palm is shredded on the right one. Can anyone recommend something else?

What are those "northern standard" polo gloves like? Anyone here have them? Someone said they're about sixty quid though? Yikes... although thats the exact same price as two pairs of the Fate gloves so if they were useful I'd buy them.

  • Thanks for the info Mat. But I think I will stick with a smaller MTB style glove, I've tried out a few of the bigger ones on the court and didnt like them at all, found they interfered with bike handling and mallet control.

  • Got this for a song on ebay. Was maybe going to use the cage for a different helmet or something, but quite happy with it as it is. Pads are rock solid though.

After searching for ages for a reasonably priced hockey helmet, I'd recomend an ebay search for a cricket helmet to anyone.
