That sucks - hope there are enough people so they at least break even. I think there's a lot of gold on the bill, and a lot of stuff I haven't heard, but would like to see. Would love to go, but parenthood...
And it's not just Primal Scream, it's them doing their good album.

Yeah me and my mate will still have a good one I'm sure, we're actually quite glad there's not many acts that are must sees for us so we can mooch around and take some new stuff in whereas last year we had to ping around the stages all day to catch everything we wanted to. Looking at twitter there are a few people looking for tickets, possibly just trying to buy cheaper tickets from people who bought early but now can't go though.

Altın Gün should be well worth a watch on Saturday.

Gates didn’t open till 12 for some reason but already a good number of people in given it’s only opened 20 minutes ago. I noticed this morning that tickets for next years wide awake are already available. Not sure if that’s a good sign that they’ve made enough this year and are confident for next year. Or if they are grasping to get some more money in to cover costs this year.

Yeah, that’s tough on those who like you had already bought tickets. I heard last year was pretty good too, so I’m not sure why year has died on its arse so badly

Yeah happy enough that that’s what I paid though. Not the person to risk it for a late ticket. Last year was brilliant but personally I think they messed with the format a bit much. Should have kept it as one day, had an early big name ‘headline’ (IDLES doing an early set last year was genius). This year it’s a bit messed up too as they’re still finishing a stage set up so have completely changed the stage lineups and stage times last minute with an announcement on Instagram about 30 minutes ago. All a bit messy but having a great time with the 6music dads and London art students so I don’t really care.

After my worries and initial moans it turned out to be another excellent day on Saturday. As the day went on there didn't seem to be any issue with underselling of tickets, plenty of people at all stages. Really enjoyed everyone I saw and everything went good and smooth for most of the day. A lovely crowd, very little queuing for the bars, a little bit more queuing for the toilets but nothing major and good sound for all the acts that I caught.

Ah that’s cool. I’d have gone along for a tenner but was in Brugge for a long weekend and caught The Covids instead. Balls.

Glastonbury lineup is dreadful
Has it ever not been?

Majority of those pyramid stage acts need to binned off (all of Friday and Saturday) along with most of the other stages, all circus and comedy acts. Obviously also any theatre and anything with workshop in its title. Bah.

Even just flicking through that page gives me anxiety about how I’d plan my weekend there. Really don’t think I’d ever be able to enjoy Glastonbury as I’m sure I’d always be thinking about where I need to be next or what time I’ve got to be there.

I think its great, I would be wall to wall entertained. Main stage isn't for me at basically any point, but the lineup as a whole is awesome.

Best thing on the list - original line-up too.

Save yourself some money and just go to this on Saturday instead

RTJ was a blowout last night. My mate had a medical emergency as they hit the stage (turns out he's been fainting a lot recently, and hadn't told anyone or seen a doctor - prick) and didn't see a single song. Shame, as the atmos was great.

If there's still tickets I'd highly recommend And So I Watch You From Afar at Signature Brew later this month. Have seen them a number of times and would immediately be seeing them again but already got tickets to see Beck on the same day. It's always a loud, energetic and sweaty joy when they're live and especially in smaller venues.

Annoyingly I'm also away for this which I'd think should be fantastic

We've got them down at Victorious in Southsea in August. Pretty excited about them, tbh. Victorious is pretty hit and miss with acts sometimes but as long as there's half a dozen things I want to see, then it's well worth it for a festival that's a 3 minute cycle from my front door.
My last gig was completely unplanned - I've been in Berlin for a couple of days, I was in the Vans shop and the dude working there saw my Rolo Tomassi shirt and said 'there's a band playing at a club near here tonight, you'd probably like them if that's the sort of thing you're into'. Gave me the details and I though fuck it, I like an adventure.
Ended up in a pretty wild club that had a swimming pool in it called the Sage Club - saw a band called The Tex Avery Syndrome who were bloody excellent, all for the price of a couple of beers. Good times. -

Really disappointing Parquet Courts gig at Brixton last night. Sound was utterly appalling, bass was too low, couldn't hear the vocals at all. Had been looking forward to it for a while, you could tell they were playing their assess off, playing most of their best stuff - but it was shit.
Also, venue was only about half full.

Will Haven at the Underworld last night was the absolute bomb, played Carpe Diem in full, start to finish. I hold them in pretty high regard, Carpe Diem was on heavy rotation through my 20's along with Deftones' Around The Fur and Adrenaline so getting to see this at the Underworld was huge. Sound wasn't great, but is was loud and heavy and they played their all. Absolutely epic, still buzzing!

Getting quite excited for Beck at Kentish Town tonight. Looking at the set lists of the Brixton show and the others from the last few days it should be a really good set.

Ah thats so surprising, tonights lineup looks great but I can understand Bicep and caribou falling a bit flat in the outdoor not-even-dark environment.
would probably go if it wasnt much more importantly, glassjaw, tonight
