Photos of our beasts: Georges and Tigre the fierce goldfish. They have been our companions for 10 years.

Georges - one day when you're not looking Tigre will be my dinner mmmm.

He tried once, fell into the fish bowl, smashed it and ran outside. We found Tigre flapping in broken glass and Georges outside the door drenched, freezing cold and looking very sheepish.

This is Poppy - she came from Battersea.

She has a near permanent limp as a result of being hit by a car, and is a food thief like no other dog I know.
