  • Oh and what's the ratio front/rear?

  • haha thanks, you're right about the colours! it's a 52-20 which I havent actually tried out yet but it should generate basically the same ratio as my old 42-16

  • Cool, what hub you lacing up on the front? According to the late great Sheldon Brown you should only run forged hubs radial, or the spokes might decide they want out!

  • front and rear both 32 hole formulas, i dunno if they're forged :s

  • re-lace the back, but the front looks lovely snowflaked like that!

Hmm sod it, give it a go radial anyway I reckon, it'll look pretty. To be honest I think if you don't make the tension super high it'll be OK, but I might be wrong! At least you only have 32 holes. With radial more holes = bad because there's less metal between them so it's easier for spokes to rip off the edge of the flange. For similar reasons, large flange is better than small.

I really don't like snowflake much but that's just me.

  • the best thing Peugeot ever made were pepper-mills, really, their pepper-mills are really good, their bikes were shit, team Peugeot riders didn't ride actual Peugeot's they were made by proper frame builders branded as Peugeot...

BTW their pepper-mills are the best!

  • Chef'n FTW!

  • my parents had a peugeot coffee grinder from the 40s or 50sw. it had a picture of an elephant on. was pretty effing good
