can anyone help me out, i lost my stem cap so i think i need a new oversized stem.
anything as long as it's not too short/long and not too steep.
all a stemcap does is tension the bearings. the stem bolts hold the stem to the steerer once you have done this you can remove the stemcap it serves no purpose.
just buy one of those beer bottle top stemcaps off ebay.
no i mean the cap that clamps to the bar..
your bars will definately fall off if you try and ride it like that.
yeah, and there's no standardisation so all stem manufacturers are slightly different, i even have another deda stemcap which you would think would fit but it doesn't.
Got a shitty on one mtb stem, steepish too. And yes I know it's everything you don't want, but welcome to borrow/use until you get what you want.
