Can I prefer the Seiko? 😊
(loving the Smiths btw... EDIT - can I ask how noisy the miyota rotor is in that one? I have the everest expedition model and it is a seriously rattly thing - I was wondering if I was just unlucky or whether that is pretty standard)
AIUI rotor rattle is pretty standard across Miyota movements, but my Everest only does it occasionally (or if I really try to spin it). I don't mind it - it's infrequent enough that I can just enjoy it as a quirk.
Thanks - I think I must have a noisy one - I simply rotate my wrist to read the time and it spins like mad (and noisily) for a good 5-10 seconds.
I can hear the thing spinning if I shake the watch near my ear but just wearing it out & about I've never heard anything, though my hearing is a little damaged so if it's high pitch I'm not going to hear it.
Absolutely. There's a watch for everyone!
Looks like a Sea Dweller fucked an Explorer and Helson filmed it.
Where does one purchase?
From an AD. I reckon ejay is your man here.
The bracelet is high quality but has no taper so visually I thought it looked quite large on the wrist (the polish adds to that). Omega rubber straps are very nice at the moment and they really suit this new 300M reference - all IMHO.
Rad, just the other dial variant, lovely. Mine’s a 4843-8023, yours is the -8030 but quite interesting not just for that shimmering textured dial but your reference actually came with two different movements (revised to take a smaller battery).
Both of ours were the top of range in ‘76 due to the hardened stainless steel cases too... such bargains!

That looks good
Thanks for sharing this.
I’ve got the QNK021 from the same page...
Yeah no worries, I recognised your bezel in the catalogue as soon as I saw it.
New watch on its way.
Hopefully here for next Friday's Show & Tell. Similar to some on here but different.
You went for the solid gold G-shock?
My thoughts exactly
Probably been posted but obsessed with this
That's far too crass.
Oi oi, that's lovely
That is lush!
Not a fan of pvd but the aged version looks good.
I'd like it without it more though.
There’s a nice Lemania version too (Heuer is nicer) but you can’t go wrong with a bit of colour.
Nope. Already got a Turtle.
Reminds me of the Seamaster Apnea
