Thank you. The design has truly stood the test of time. To me it is the most beautifully understated watch design of all time. I am however biased as I have known this watch all my life:)!
Such a good watch. I went for my oldest watch today, another Swiss design classic.
Cosmic Friday - builders tan day!
Probably better looking than the watch it's based on
summer hours on Fridays making it hard to not feature a pint in this picture!
Here it says available in July 2020, so yeah not long at all :-)
#MakingSubOwnersChuckle more like :)
wearing the sub more in winter, back to my summer favourite almost permanently. Added some little scratches but still in love with the dial. Gets more appreciative comments than the sub or gmt too!
👏🏼 I think many agree that this is the best watch of all time. Myself included.
SKX009 on a Navy Archer strap. Trying to keep desk diving marks off my speedy.
Ruining the classy vibes that have been posted today. Bling bling
Everything you see there is Ikea.
(The Vitsoe is in the other room.)
No way man, these are cool.
The photo/ lighting makes it look like an augmented reality render on your wrist!
Bought my first mechanical and automatic watch this week. An SKX seemed pretty appropriate.
Loving it so far, even the misaligned chapter ring. The fat spring bars not so much...
There's a reason everyone owns one! Great watches, had mine 15 years and I still end up looking at it on my wrist with pleasure.
Could do with some tidying
Ha. That isn't even the worst of it.
Thanks, I like it. It does look a bit rendered in that pic doesn’t it.
You've seen the rolex and G-Shock but this was my father's watch a Seiko automatic from maybe 1980's has 313967 on the back . we always liked watches. I bought the rolex in his memory.
Peace , love and happiness
Found a strap with curved ends. Fits nicely I think.
Your serial number indicates it was made in 1983 and the 1 equates to Jan. Very cool.
Recommendations sought - this is a gift for a friend to buy for her husband .. specifications are Automatic, on leather strap, not too fancy but a display caseback if possible, new.
Sub £1000 -
My initial thoughts were Hamilton khaki but I have no idea all the different models.
