  • Hahahaha

I guess it'll sit out while we're in isolation. No one ever comes and no one ever leaves.

  • I did wonder about the hiding .
Continuing the Squale theme , my GMT doesn’t have the shark logo

  • Quite fancy an Omega Planet Ocean 600 in the discontinued 42mm size. What's a sensible price for a very good / good one?

  • @smithchild I like the Sinn 103 Bell and Ross have you seen that model??

  • Sinn are great .. the 144 does it for me as it has a 12-hr ‘GMT’ and a chrono.

The B&R aspect I liked because it added a bit of back-story (and scarcity) .. also the B&R 144 is titanium whereas Sinn only look to make them in steel now.

  • That’s nice .. what material is the bezel?

  • Consumer goods can still be acquired! - cheapo beater for these dull / awful Corona days.

  • It’s a ceramic one .
I keep coming back to this watch

  • I just got my dispatch notice from Liberty for my MK1

Still waiting on the Allied to be sent.

  • I love these. Looks like a proper tool watch unlike the Bell & Ross that everyone thinks of with the BR01.

  • You'll be pleased to know their packing standards haven't been dropped. Borderline embarrassing for a £50 watch.

  • I have a Seiko Prospex SNE439P1 for sales.
It’s an awesome watch and it was my everyday "beater" watch until I got a Squale, got a big mark on the red part of the bezel insert and smaller one around it, but otherwise in decent condition.

Kept great time still, had it hidden under the bed without solar power for three weeks and still ticking.

Come with black Zuludiver Swiss style premium NATO (unused and attach to watch) but will include a black and grey Marine Nationale NATO and a cheap elastic blue one (unknown make, very comfortable)

Selling for £90 (ONO) as I don’t have original packaging and whatnot.

  • You should keep it Ed...

You'll regret selling your first watch.

  • You'll regret selling your first watch.

My first watch is the SKX007, this is my second one I had for a short while.

  • If Spotter is DMing about something else, I'll take it (if you can post it, no rush)

  • To clarify, this is the solar model, and NOT the automatic one.

  • Solar is cool in today's apocalyptic world

  • What's the lug to lug like on these?

  • Agree, I like the and history and combination of both names.

@ricky2slicky Precisely why I like the 103, solid, no messing, functional tool watch. Also has a military aesthetic which I like. I feel they ruined the newer editions with the addition of "Automatic" arched above the bottom dial. They also do a limited blue dial version, unfortunately with said text.

  • Are vintage diving watches once checked , seals changed , really not as reliable as modern ones?
    I have a small wirst,
    swim often,
    and like water related activities.

  • 36mm/40mm Oris divers 65 is your friend.

  • If you're putting the thing under water you want to know the service history of the watch. You could buy a vintage one and get the seal checked but there's a risk it will fail. For actual waterproofness I'd buy new.

  • Nice, is that the aluminum or steel case version?

  • Personally, I'd go vintage for desk diving/ social events and get something less glamorous for actual swimming/ oceaning.
Probably a g shock/ baby g, cheap and cheerful, won't break and if it does after a few years you know you've not knacked a watch you can't replace.
