You could get a new one for that, no? Sentimental value?

Chinatown...
In one shop were some amazing automatics and crazy oversized copies. Some even feel better than expected for what they are.

WTAF. If you are looking at your Garmin, does it not also tell you the time? Also. Weight weenie-ism and sweat.

Hmmm. Because the dial would be so easy to read while riding on an average bit of Tarmac.

What a POS.

"Excuse me, do you have the time?"
"erm, yeah, give me a minute". -

Wot @Stonehedge said - I'd take it off my bike even in Richmond Park.
Also. RIGHT wrist. RIGHT wrist? Lefties are only 15% of the population. Narrow the market appeal even further.
So your market is: Left handed bankers who are into cycling and who don't mind sweating through a ££££ watch/wristband that weighs as much as difference between DA and Ultegra.

What the juddering fuck is that?

What was the design brief?
"I want over-engineered motorsport with vibes of airport departure board, then imagine that crashed through the black wood section of MFI kitchens"

Hope it gets worn

There's a chap I work with occasionally who bought a PP for $2.25m and he wears it every day. Goes well with his scruffy shorts and sandals.

Btw, don't mind admitting that I'm totally gay for Paul Newman. Not enough to pay £1m for his watch though.
-
• #24174
Bravo to him, it's meant to be worn. It's next owner can wrap it in cotton wool and only wear it with a tuxedo.

Good to know. I just dropped off my Seiko 7S26-0064 at a repairers in Clerkenwell Road: http://watchservicecentreclerkenwell.co.uk/
Antique Watch Co which is opposite wouldn't/couldn't repair it for me, and these guys reckon it's gonna be at least £180, maybe more. Once they confirm, that will be my budget for something similar as a replacement...
