The correct link is:
http://forums.watchuseek.com/f31/wtt-new-omega-speedmaster-japan-racing-build-box-set-4511015.htmlYou can take the thread id (4511015) and stick it into another thread and it will work. The words in a thread URL are just SEO bait and do nothing. You don't even have to adjust the forum id (f35 in this case) as it's a lookup on the threadid. It's a product called vbSEO, easy to work around.
And yes... a great example of "Do not bump your own adverts"... 5 pages of "up".

Great, thanks - am I correct in thinking that this chap has made this watch from service parts?
i.e. it's not part of the original 2004 made, but he's put a service dial in a standard Moonwatch?

The 'Rolex' was indeed looklooky, from the Canary islands. I'll stick to the Montine and Delboy sheepskin coat.

• #24055
I've also had a Montine:

Had?
I have that strap at home (see way back, citizen eagle 7). Might copy you til I find something else.

Moved it on.

Response from the chap "Original run would go for twice as much as I am asking in the this condition. This is all new parts including the case and movement."
I'm unsure what I feel about this.
-

A proper original may indeed be worth double the asking price, but that doesn't make a frankenwatch worth half the value of a real thing...
-
• #24060
Yes, that's what I'm debating. What would said Frankenwatch be worth?
-
• #24061
The sum of its parts, at best, I suppose.
It's like people who build their dream-whatever and claim it's worth xyz. It's worth that to them, but items are only really worth what someone else is willing to pay - if anything.

• #24062
Some irony in that post one feels
-
• #24063
Why don't you just fuck off you attention seeking bore
I could post some photographs of a watch strap come ligature, would that make you feel calmer, more at home, more accepted?
-
• #24064
Razor sharp. Always said that about you - the quality of riposte is astonishing.
-
• #24065
You're clearly very upset, which to be fair I am enjoying immensely.
Please don't stop - could you maybe work your way up to a rant?
A good marker to aim for is to end up howling your ineffectual rage at the walls of your room.

Plus 10 extra points for little flecks of spit all over the monitor

• #24067
You're on fire tonight! Three stinging retorts!
-
• #24068
And you got to use "lol" twice!
-
• #24069
Fancy taking this to popcorn?
Or at least post a pic of a Seiko. -
• #24070
Soz.

That would be my thought too.
Might be judging the seller a bit here... but unless they've got lots of legit references from other legit users I'd leave it. That sort of reply doesn't invoke confidence, nor does the bumping.
It's not chump change either.
...and you're not going to be able to whip off the back in person and inspect it with your loop with any great knowledge.

Oh.
Page refresh fail.

I agree with all of these observations.
