I've just worked out that the tit down The Trinity has lost out on around £20/25k in revenue just cos of his miserable cuntyness
Each meet averages 25 people with all spending around £20 x 44 meets
That is awesome.
Maybe we should be forcing West Beers to bring back good food using that kind of logic.

Well we can do that downstairs too, s'been done before. If its going to be a quiet night (which I think it will be - nowhere near payday and no scheduled football on), there'll just be us and last night's woman who'd spent three hours back combing her hair.
Shall I ring Steve and book it for us?
Do we want a late license?
Shall I book the day after off in preparation?Questions Questions. Cornelius, saw your other post in the beers thread - catch up coffee?
That "woman" was Jaygee

The staff down the C&H are ace and have always been more than accomodating to all of us, they've realised we're here to stay and they have seen the potential. Mondays were dead in there til we rocked up and now I'd say it's arguably their busiest and most profitable night(with the exception of maybe Sat nights)

Cornelius and I made a soggy journey to the C&H. They do love us there. Plans afoot.

Great plan CB & Snowy! I think I made my first Souths outing on the 2nd or 3rd night at the C&H so never experienced the apparently dubious pleasures of the Trinity. I'll happily visit it for a comparison though.
Are you going to need DJs on the night? -

....and Max still looks like he's doing his GCSEs!
Cuz he was...
He still is!
This is a great idea. It will be good to see the look on the face of the trinity landlord as Corny rolls up, with a massive group of merry men and women.
I still dont know how I managed to survive getting home from the first few south drinks.
Bright times. -

this thread is rising to the top...
So we're only a couple of weeks away from the Anniversary. So here's the plan, we meet up at the Trinity for a glass of bubbly. ETA Approx 6.30pm. Outside on the square of course. Recognising how the pub brought us all together, and created the great atmosphere of South Beers. We raise a glass, toast the success of our little drunken cycling community, give thanks to the creator VB....
and then we fuck off to the Coach and Horses, who have made us feel ever so welcome for a right proper knees up. Open til 1.30am. Good Tunes courtesy of some of the Bright Times Massive (get your dancing shoes on) and two for one burgers.
What more could you ask for.Lets make this a big 'un. Let everyone know that South Beers is celebrating its first birthday and that you may want to take the Tuesday off.
I look forward to seeing you all on Monday 30th March...
Yeah Baby!!!

Damn, I'd love to be there on 30 March, but that's the night my wife has her ceremony to become a British citizen and I absolutely, definitely must be there! Sounds like it'll be a good one. 20 April should be good though. :^)

Aw the first night of south drinks was cool, I can remember meeting loadsa new faces and just like CB said, we were like old mates by the time we wobbled off home :)
I can also remember the dark night the LL turned into a cnut, glad we moved on in the end, anyway we couldn't shout 'do a skid' to passing cyclists from the trinity :)
will see you all at the C&H as can't make the trinity for 6:30... also can't stay for long as young Dexter needs feeding by his daddy (yep, i'm lactating baby yeah!)... see y'all next Monday, I can't wait
SOUTH BEERS FTW! :D

I'm yet to sort out my train back on monday but I'll confirm as soon as I know if I'm heading over.. If I do I'll almost certainly be double burgering in honour of the occasion..
Anyone wanna be my double burger buddy?
-
• #41
WOO, I have missed far too many South's of late with 10 hour days, so to celebrate my job moving to 12 hour days with the increase in daylight hours, I shall endeavour to make it to the C&H for a bit, if that makes any sense.
-
• #42
Update: I'm in and will definitely be double-burgering..
JayGee, I still owe you a beer so give me a shout and I'll sort you out

Woop Woop, excited. !

yay! happy days. I still have a scar on my elbow from one of the early Trinity South Beers.
See you all there :)

i will need a burger buddy if anyone wants to help a brother out. I'm stuck between taking records into work with me and going straight to the pub (think of the extra workout) or nipping home and collecting them and then heading up. either way i won't be doing the grand tour and hope to be there for 6.30 ish.

will it be ok for a complete newbie to turn up??
I pau a thread up a few days ago about being in london and bored for the week so if its ok to come along let me knowthanks

Damo, the grand tour doesn't happen until 20th April, so 6.30 would be a great time to arrive. I'm going to put up an edit in the original post.
But the plan is this:6.30pm Meet Trinity Pub Brixton
Toast the awesomeness of South Beers with sparkling wine, we can petend its champers.
7.00pm Head to Coach and Horses. Drink Beer, Eat Burgers, Dance to Bright Times...
1.30am Stumble home, horribly drunk, but buoyed by the gorgeousness of the people at South's...Edit @ 4130
Dude, it'd be great if you came, the more the merrier, and a perfect opportunity to introduce yourself to a large part of the forum all in one go...
see you there...
