Yep totally...it's the big fundraising squat party this saturday so i was thinking of starting next sat as quite a few people are involved/should be!
sounds like a good short route to start on...maybe the first one should be realtively steady paced, trying to stay together at a decent speed with people having little sprints if they want.
It might be good to build in a 5mile sprint or something as a mini sprint timetrial? (in future?)
So, ronnie knows rides in macc, i have some rides in bolton and cheshire and a guy in hebden bridge has got rides out there- it would be nice to get the train out there now and again for a change i think and he would like some people to ride with.
YES to lycra and NO to shaven legs, though if you must Nasty....
So I'll put the word out the first of the ride's to be **
sat 14th march. Meet at Noon at Unicorn carpark (then i can stock up on bananas beforehand)**
that good?

All fine by me, we could on the first one just do a sprint on that long straight by Tatton Park and carry on to finish at The Greyhound. Sat 14th is a yes from me.

and if people can add rides to dates in future with whether it's hilly or flat and how far it is.
e.g.
saturday 21st march
Meet town hall ride to bolton and back via horwich etc (some hills)
Maye we can plan the routes so people have a better idea and can also print off the map to bring with them:

Suggestion
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2599363
54 miles (Out via Disley, back via Macc/Alderley).
Can cut it down a bit by getting train to Disley/Whaley Bridge
Hilly, but of the long drag rather than the oh fuck variety. Includes descent of the Cat and Fiddle, which is about as good as it gets.

how out of hill fitness are people? we could do a 20 mileish ride in the hills on 25th april, summat like this:
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2599418or the guy in hebden said it's a 20 min climb (depending on fitness) out of hebden then it's flat on the tops. that could be WELL nice.
