    Mr Fancy Pants!

The humu will be built as soon as find some cheap 3-piece cranks.

    Ah-ha!

  • Tilover, that is one sweet bike. Is it a Black Sheep?

you should lewis! i'll be there in camp outcast/singular cycles with a loudhailer creating havoc

Sounds like a few of us from this forum will be there... The only reason I won't be is if my son is born early and I have to be at the hospital! My Singular Pegasus (the Ti one) in my collection needs one more race before I have to riase a new born!

Oh, and Lewis, that Humu of yours is gorgeous! The green is an amazingly nice colour, great build too.

    okay matey your first dibs.

hmmm, it seems we've been had. money pays..

  • Well since I need to post at least 5 times before I can create a new thread - might as well stick it here. :)

Though the IRC blizzard tyres are a right royal pita...though the noise of the worn studs is hilarious.
Gearing was okish for Exeter, though not for much else. Needs some nicer tyres, regearing or time to go for a 27" ss/fixed methinks.

  • so what, are u selling this? or just 'showing it off'?

I'll have it if u are.

  • mmmm

Well Im after a ss/fixie with, shock horror, mudguards. Or at least the ability to fit them on. Other than that - will take offers for the Kona, which will fund the next bike.

    Quick rundown.

Frame has been rattle can sprayed, with new transfers added after. S'ok but not mint. Syncros 1" quill stem as seen. DH bars, Easton iirc. Avid brake levers. XT front hub and cannot make out the ogo on the rear - it is fine but just cannot tell what the logo is. Not familiar at all. DNP freewheel and an 18t cog. Weinmann 4019 rims, nice and shiney. Front radial spoked and all spokes DT swiss. Bontrager something or other elite saddle and tahoma seat stem.

Wheels, although trueish, could do with a prof truing but NOT bent IYSWIM.

Originally got from Exeter place called the Shed, I think it was called, and was an employees bike.

Offers accepted but would be interested in a ss/fixie around 54-56 in size. Steel only though. Bike is on the Wirral, however i travel to London tonight so it is possible I can take it down then if someone wants to see it. If im allowed bikes on Virgin trains off peak that is.....and can I get it to Ruislip from SJWood I wonder?

  • Sorry - don't mean tonight i mean tomorrow. Mind and English is not the best since a bonce on the noggin...

  • Oh and Wellgo BRIGHT yellow beartraps. In case you didnt notice.

Oh and does this make 5 posts?? I think it does. Awesome.

  • I'll probably get jumped on for hijacking this old thread (been lurking for a while but not able to start a new one).

Is anyone interested in a Kona Humu?

It's the 2009 model but has been in kept in storage. A few minor scuff marks but otherwise looks brand new.

  • It was sold to me as 20" but may be 18". Will check tomorrow when i've got my tape measure. Either way it's too small for me as I'm 6ft 2".

Looking to get back what I paid - £150

  • whereabouts are you based blake7.
    i may be interested.

  • hi soperRiva, i'm based in the white city/shepherds bush area.

  • Before you sell it, let me show you what it could easily become;

  • Who knew burgundy could look that good? Alas it's too small for me, otherwise I would keep it.

  • If you put cantilever brakes on could you fit big mudguards and a proteur rack on that? hmmm....

  • If you put cantilever brakes on could you fit big mudguards and a proteur rack on that? hmmm....

All you need is coaster brake.

  • its mine now or will be at 4 ish.
    muwah hah hah!!!!

  • looking at it, you'd have to bodge it to get cantis on there. i'm not a fan of coaster brakes.
i do fancy some kind of porteur / utility jbo with big front rack. i can get a globe live 1 through work but you have to run it coaster....

  • a decent coaster brakes can make a huge difference, the missus have it on her bike, and frankly, it's a lots easier to control your bicycle than a fixed wheel tranmission.

  • Sold to soperRiva. Hope your girlfriend likes it.
