It will be cool to have teams at throw ins. get some team games in and let's mix it up. Anyone without a team should not be discouraged from coming. Sunday used to be pick up day and that's cool. were now lacking in new blood which is not cool.

I understand, I was thinking team games from 10-12.30 then pick ups...I thought most don't get to downs till 12ish anyways, which is goo for teams to play first.

New blood should always be incouraged so if team games would stop this happening we are happy to do it another time.

Whats the thinking then? Early team games then pick up, or team games somewhere else and then mass convoy to downs for pick ups?

Maybe team games could start at 9am and then we mix it up as soon as others arrive?

Team games during throw-ins never works unless two teams take their mallets out of the shuffle (as otherwise you have a throw-in team against a team team and it's no fun for either one).

Or we could try something completely new and draft some throw-in BM teams, or something? There might be a neat way of combining competitiveness with social/fun vibes that we haven't thought of?

Really? I've never had an issue with that.

I've played lots of games with one real team, and one throw in team, and enjoyed it in both roles.

It might just be me then but I find that the team team doesn't find it competitive enough and the throw-in team doesn't find it fun enough?

I think that's just Spring Break in general ;)

If that's the case then I think removal of mallets for a team game should be the norm then... it allows everyone to turn up to play at any time (throw-ins) but also doesn't restrict London teams from improving, etc.

I'd say 9am start for sure. I reckon get as many games in early then just play throw ins mix it then people can always sit out if they want to play as a team. We had a day were people started not showing cos of team games...so I i think should call it throw ins and let people play as teams when needed but not all the time it's lame

Not sure gettin wild can do a 9am on Sunday, 10 is probs the earliest we can get there with travelling and such.

We have no intention of breaking up pickups and putting off people coming along, we would just like the opportunity to play as a team in London once in a while and normally Sunday morning is the only chance we have I do this with work and other commitments.

Will confirm with Hayden and lee and see if a 9am is possiable.

So what are we saying? Pickups take precedence from 11.30, with the proviso that if 2 teams want to take their mallets out of the shuffle, they can play each other?
