  • Ta, should have scrolled. Some good alt-mounts in here.

I used my super c in my wald basket today as mentioned up thread, held with a cargo net over it. Was a bit squished but worked pretty nicely overall

  • haven't got around to using mine yet. Target biek is still 50% completed.

  • Yeah, thought it was premature to ask, but there isn't much information out there on this bag. Thanks anyway!

  • Stuff sack would work as well yeah?

  • Feisty tonight ey?
It would, but I have this, it has pockets and a shoulder strap, my work stuff is in it and it's maybe? a bit more protection for the stuff inside.

I kinda like the idea of trimming the wald down a step so it's more like a semi-platform for the bag

  • Right right

  • Thanks to everyone who's posted on here (& various other forums). After too much thought, I opted for a Carradice Super C SQR Slim. It is perfect for me. Even though it's second hand and a factory second (Debbie nursing a hangover?), the workmanship and design are spectacular. I can't believe these aren't more widely used.

I commute 10 miles a day, occasionally squeezing in 20...often with laptop, clothes, lunch, etc. All fits in the bag. Bag holds its shape, very quick to fit/unfit. I weighed my Topeak pannier rack and Altura laptop pannier compared to the Carradice....saved 1.25kg. Also I now get to see my bike in all its titanium glory.

Carradice getting into this new fangled seatpack thing with their own support mount. Looks to have some nice features for 90 pounds.

They also have a top tube bag but no one uses those of course.

Interested to see if they make a nice handlebar bag.

    Zipped Roll, innit?

  • Or any of the other small ones, as long as there's room.

  • Mmmm, yeah looks like they are working on an actual handlebar bag, so that's cool.

  • Am being dumb but what is the looped fabric on the side of the seatpack for?

Thoughtful design anyway and the integrated mount is making me consider it vs a lightweight audax / bagman setup. The audax wins by being easier to access stuff and looking like an actual bag if you carried it off the bike, but the seatpack can probably fit more. hmmm.

    'biners for coffee cups

  • I wonder if they'll sell the mini rack separately. It could be decent to just strap a drybag to

  • The bag closes by rolling and then threading the G-hooks through one of those loops, so the less stuff you have in the bag, the fewer danglemugs you can carry.

  • ok, makes sense. I'd probably run it 2/3rd full at most.

  • New Pendle by Christine, anybody have thoughts on the shiny finish? Not seen it before.
