BlueQuinn - if I want to get the unrestricted license I have to pass it on a 33HP + machine, aka 500cc.

The stupid thing is, is that my control of the bike etc and maneuvers is good - I failed cos I was in the wrong 'lane' on a mini roundabout turning right, when there was so no cars behind us, and the lane was fake, in as far as it was not wide enough to get a car in. very frsutreating. I will wait till I am back in my home town over the summer as I know the roads very well.

Also, what is that ride blue?

I don't ride motorbikes, but I saw this on the Mall yesterday:

It's a Buell.

The fascinating thing that caught my eye was the front rim brake. Well, disc brake and rim brake.

The disc is mounted to the rim, which avoids the need for spokes that can bear the high torque forces and gives a greater surface area for improved heat dissipation, as well as avoiding the need for a dual disc setup.

It's a damn good idea.

I think radial brakes are still better.
