I used to stay in their Ramsgate hotel regularly for years as we met there for winter sea swimming and my mate got it for £20 a night, including breakfast and dinner, which I never tried as the smell from the restaurant was rancid. It was always an experience - way out of season, populated solely by alcoholic Northern pensioners down to do booze cruises to Calais, proper Phoenix Nights Agadoo, Pia-pia-pia-no entertainments - the manager told us that they had to sneak out a dead guest roughly once a week.
Everything was tatty, old and crappy (most of the guests, certainly), but I have to say, pretty clean and functional.

Actually been there, for the last ever (probably) All Tomorrow's Parties. Didn't see much of Prestatyn but the Pontins is a dump.
Before that, all I knew about Prestatyn was "Tuberous cock and balls".

Broadcaster Trevor Nelson said: "So sad to hear about the passing of Benjamin Zephaniah. Too young, too soon, he had a lot more to give. He was a unique talent."

Sometimes it's hard tae be a wumman.
Cheatin' Heart was much more loaded with (top class) Scottish cultural references that would be mystifying to most living South of the border, though, so faced a struggle UK-wide.
